This body of work explores suburban housing as a calculated reinforcement of the American values of self-sufficiency, homogeneity, and privacy. This propaganda has been so accepted and absorbed that it manifests itself from the inside out – emerging and growing out of the skin itself. Body and architecture fuse as one to illustrate that no human being exists as an autonomous entity; we are constantly informed and influenced by our environment, relationships, and experiences.
